John Sheen joined Liberty Maritime Corporation in 2009 as the Vice President of Finance. His responsibilities include financial budgeting, planning and analysis, internal control development and implementation, financial reporting, treasury and cash management as well as new project analysis.
Prior to joining Liberty in 2009, he served as the lead senior manager on the Liberty account while at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP(PWC). During his career at PWC, he served a number of public and private clients in various industries. While in the firm’s National Transportation Group and, more recently, the firm’s Private Company Services Group, he worked with enterprises in the shipping, railroad and airline industries, as well as in the financial services, education, construction, manufacturing, retail, advertising and professional services industries. He has served as an advisor to the Audit Committee of the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation and as the finance chair for his church.
John Sheen was born on October 20, 1971 in Seoul, Korea. He received a B.S. in accounting and finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1992. Mr. Sheen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
